Research

EPCP is a pluridisciplinary team of chemists, physical-chemists and physicists. Their research is into polymer-based materials, and their structures and applications.

The members’ complementary competences makes it possible to go all the way through from the synthesis of a novel material to its implementation while all the time characterising and understanding its architecture, structure and properties. The fundamental work is directed to macromolecular engineering, surfaces and interfaces, and the rheology of complex fluids.

These targeted areas of research, which are intrinsically interrelated, result in the development of numerous applications such as intelligent materials, polymers for energy resources, glues and adhesives, “green” polymers, transport materials, polymer mousses, and polymers for sensors. These applications result in numerous collaborations, both academic and industrial, at international, national and regional levels.
